How often would I come to therapy?
The duration of therapy depends on many factors including the type of problem, your history, the quality of the relationship between client and counselor and the commitment with the therapeutic process.
According to Ms. Marimon experience, you can start to notice changes toward the desired goals after 6 sessions (3 to 6 months). Some clients schedule appointments weekly or twice a week and some, come in biweekly depends on the level of distress.
How long last one session?
An individual session usually takes 60 minutes. The first initial evaluation may last until 90 minutes. Couple therapy may last from 60 – to 120 minutes depends on the type of therapy provided.
Intensives couple therapy last for 3 hours in four different sessions. A substance abuse evaluation may last from 60 – 90 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
Ms. Marimon is in network provider for AETNA. She can check your benefits and file your claims. To look up your benefits for AETNA, please submit your insurance details HERE or call (786)-2296947 and verbally give your insurance details.
Note that Yazmine is not in-network provider of any insurance, except for AETNA. However, most health insurance or employee benefit plans will provide partial coverage for services rendered by a licensed psychotherapist that’s an out of network provider. Many plans offer 60 – 80% reimbursement.

Many insurance companies do not cover couples/relational or family therapy.
Why have you decided not to work with most of the insurance?
To have therapy services covered under insurance, a mental health diagnosis must be made. This then becomes a part of your permanent health care record. This may lead to limitations such as denial for quality life insurance or health insurance later on. Additionally, since a mental health diagnosis must be made to obtain reimbursement, the insurance company can review all of your records at their discretion.
What is the cost of therapy?
Costs varies from $120 to $175 depends on the type of therapy and evaluation. If you have AETNA, you’re out of pocket cost will depend on your insurance coverage.
Substance abuse evaluations and Intensive couple therapy have a different cost.
Ms. Marimon will work with you a payment plan when you have limited resources or you are out of insurance. Also, she offers slide fee scale when the person has no insurance.
What approach do you use?
Ms. Marimon uses Cognitive Behavioral Therpay, Psychodynamic therapy, EMDR (Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Mindfulness, and Solution Focused therapy. In addition, she uses the PLISSIT model to treat sexual issues and different behavioral techniques to improve your sexuality and intimacy. Ms. Marimon uses the Encountered Centered Couples Therapy to improve communication and emotional connection in the couple.
Ms. Marimon integrates different techniques and therapeutic approaches. She considers change is only possible when the counselor and the person creates a genuine authentic relationship in a safe environment. Ms. Marimon value respect, collaboration and trust.
Where is the location of the office?
Yazmine is conveniently located in the Miami, close to Design Distric, Miami Beach, Midtown, North Bay Village, North Miami and North Miami Beach.
Ms. Marimon has extended her practice to countries and cities outside Miami using Online Therapy.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, Yazmine does not prescribe medication. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and offers Therapy, coaching and Counseling. When necessary, Ms. Marimon will refer you to a specialist.
What specific areas you don’t treat?
Ms. Marimon has a vast experience working with young adults and adults. She does not specialize in children. Therefore, she will help you with the necessary referrals. Ms. Marimon works closely with psychiatrics, psychologists, and other therapists specializes in different areas that facilitate the referral process.
What are your hours?
Ms. Marimon is very flexible with her schedule. She has evening and Saturday hours.
